Church in Society

We at St. Paul’s Church come together to reach out to people, to give assistance, to share God’s love to our neighbors near and far.  That is our goal, with the Holy Spirit guiding us, to show Christ’s love to others in a variety of ways.  Listed below are many of the activities that express these actions and promote the idea of being a Church in Society.

  • Continuing the “Noisy Bucket”, which is a monetary collection for the ELCA Good Gifts in February of each year. The money donated supports folks in 86 countries in a variety of ways.
  • Saving cancelled stamps which are then sent to Stamps for Living.
  • Saving aluminum-can tabs for the Ronald McDonald House charity.
  • Strawberry Shortcake Booth at the Random Lake Fireman’s Picnic
  • St. Paul’s Booth at the Random Lake Fall Fest.  In addition to the free literature about St. Paul’s, also available for purchase is our famous and delicious German Potato Salad.  Free Craft activities are available for the youth to take and do.
  • A group of St. Paul’s folks attend the “Feed My Starving Children” Mobile Food Pack, held at St. Paul Church in Sheboygan Falls in October.  This is always a very important event to attend, and each year we consistently gather the number of people needed for working at a reserved table packing the meal ingredients.
  • Quilters made a large donation of quilts in October / love and warmth mixed together for those who received a quilt.
  • The Annual St. Paul’s Cookie Walk is held in December, showcasing the amazing baking talents of our members.
  • St. Paul’s Church has a “lending library” for medical equipment which has been utilized very often by many people throughout the county.
  • Bingo has been an ongoing game at St. Paul’s during some months of the year.
  • Many pictures, articles, and ads are often seen in the Sounder, pertaining to our members, our clergy Pastor Elizabeth Jaeger, and our events.
